I organise and operate workshops in analogue photography and painting.
My photographic works are often characterised by feminist themes.
I am observing different forms of relationships. Human beeing in communities, relation of the human beeing to himself/herself and to the nature and objects.
"Photography helps me to look attentively and closely. It increases my appreciation for life. There is an inner dialogue by taking pictures.
By focusing on the subject, I can turn off the world around me and time stands still for a moment.
I move as an observer through a world that is stopped (as in the story of Michael Ende "Momo", when Mr. Hora stops time and Momo thus gains a lead to save the hour flowers.)
Art fulfills me. Through photography and painting the confrontation with a matter let me be able to see things that I would otherwise have overlooked.
With my photographic works I investigate the play of fantasy with the secret of the hidden, the desire to explore the invisible and intangible beauty in a sensual way and the timid approach to the other.
I playfully find this beauty in the forms of the human body and nature and observe the sensual communication that arises from the interaction of the two."
"FELICIA SCHEUERECKER focuses on what is hidden, repressed and easily overlooked. She is interested in the moment of concentrated observation, which allows people and bodies to be discovered every time in new ways. Her strictly composed black and white photography draws us into a liberating game with gender identities. Sometime it's necessary for her to stop for a moment, which is why she chose analogue photography."
